According to recently published data on The Journal of the American Medical Association, 35% of adults and 16% of children in the United States alone are considered overweight, a trend that has remained consistent for the past 12 years. This means that while obesity rates do not go up, they don't seem to go down either, implying that the promotion of healthy eating habits and an exercise regime have not impacted the general population. The data were collected from thousands of men, women and children who have participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys performed by the National Center for Health Statistics at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This health news is no good news at all, according to the director of the childhood obesity program at the Children's Hospital in Boston, Dr. David Ludwig. He says that today's children are going into adulthood heavier than ever before, so the ramifications of obesity in the short and the long run. Being overweight can lead to a series of related conditions like diabetes and erectile dysfunction, just to name a couple. That right there means two different sets of medications, such as Metformin and Viagra online.
In spite of the availability of such drugs like the aforementioned Viagra online, this would only alleviate one of the many effects of obesity, but would not attack the root of the problem itself. However, although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have conducted their surveys on health and nutrition since the 60's, it is difficult to even determine why obesity have reached a stalemate. Some experts claim that the healthy eating efforts have had at least some measure of success, while others argue that obesity has hit a plateau, a biological saturation point in which those who were vulnerable to becoming obese have already done so. According to Dr. Ludwig though, we probably won't have more health news to report on the subject until declines in body mass index are seen.
